From the outset, the Conquest 1200 was designed with the safety of its rider our paramount concern.
When designing the wide, robust aluminium chassis engineers took great care to ensure the design’s stability at speed, under heavy braking and during abrupt changes of direction. Equally a good deal of attention was given to the Conquest’s front and rear ventilated disc brakes, which are linked and balanced to ensure controllable, short braking distances. The secure location of the driver and wheelchair is assured by use of an industry standard locking mechanism, while failsafe interlocks ensure that the Conquest cannot be driven without the wheelchair securely locked in place and the tailgate/ramp in the correct position.
