Providing a level of performance and independence previously unattainable, the Conquest 1200 has been designed for people with disabilities from the waist down the Conquest 1200 is the world’s first high performance production motorcycle that can be driven from a wheelchair. Drivers simply roll their wheelchair onto the vehicle via an automated access ramp, secure their chair in the locking mechanism and operate all controls with their hands.
The Conquest utilises the front-end of a standard BMW R 1200 R motorcycle, which is attached to an aluminium frame with two rear alloy wheels. Conventional steering, a reverse gear and limited slip rear wheel differential provide all the required functionality and control from modified handlebars, while a streamline fibreglass body gives the Conquest its unique presence and style. The 109bhp, twin-cylinder Conquest 1200 has secured approval from Motability for inclusion in its Hire Purchase Scheme. Under this arrangement UK disabled drivers can use their disability allowance as part payment for the vehicle. Conquest International can arrange further finance if necessary.
